Music Applicants – Important Information

All applicants will be required to complete the Music Audition Intent form located inside their SpartanStart portal. Applicants will receive access to this portal once they have successfully submitted an admissions application. Applicants to the music technology program are not required to audition but must still submit a Music Audition Intent form for tracking purposes.

Before auditioning for a music program or music scholarship, prospective students should review theÌýaudition information and requirementsÌýfor their program and instrument.

Applicants may audition on campus atÌýone of our Music audition days (see below), which mostly coincide with official 95ÐãÊÓƵÌý:

Oct. 26, 2024 (95ÐãÊÓƵ open house and Music audition day)
Nov. 9, 2024Ìý(95ÐãÊÓƵ open house and Music audition day)
Jan. 20, 2025 (Music audition day only)
Feb. 16, 2025Ìý(95ÐãÊÓƵ open house and Music audition day)

Applicants may also audition remotely via Zoom, at times that coordinate with both prospective students and faculty. To register for a Zoom audition, please complete the Music Audition Intent form inside your SpartanStart portal and specify a list of your available dates and times.

Music Scholarships

Prospective music students may be eligible for aÌýmusic scholarship, based on departmental need and the quality of the student's audition.

Currently Enrolled UTampa Students

Currently enrolled UTampa students who are auditioning for a music major or minor, or adding a music technology major, should fill out fill out ourÌý.

Future Spartans

If you are interested in studying music at UTampa, but are not a current applicant (9th-11thÌýgrade students), please fill out theÌý.
